I shouldn't make fun of someone's name, but Gordon Van Dyke? First of all, Gordon is wow, not even used anymore, and Van Dyke, well.... you get my drift.

I played about an hour of the original but traded in the game for something else. I'm looking forward to this game. I liked the destructable environments in the first one, but I think they could've been improved to be similar to Red Faction.
Ok, honest question, not trying to be a fanboy. With 256 players, do they have to dumb down the graphics to make it possible? Will they be like L4D graphics, using a dated engine so the game works? I don't see how the graphics could be that good with 256 players, I mean games like KZ2 have far fewer players and have good graphics, any more and I would think that the graphics would take a serious hit....
Has anyone played the beta? What are the graphics comparable to?
Personally I think collector's editions are a waste. They slap a few cheap things together and charge a huge premium. Collectors may buy them, but the idea of collecting is that things increase in value. If you buy a collector's edition, you better buy a seperate standard copy to open because collector's editions aren't worth anything opened. Eventually the special box and novelty of the behind the scenes stuff wears off

There's a difference between a commercial for Modern Warfare 2 and a Walmart gift card with Arcade purchase during Black Friday. Black Friday is when all retailers have crazy deals. It's not a desperation move funded by MS. I'm sure you'll find awesome deals on PS3 also.
BTW, I should buy one of these, get a cheap 360 HDD on ebay, and use the $100 gift card for games.
I want another Wii, I really do... I bought one when they were scarce and played Twilight Princess, a little of Mario Galaxy, Boom Blox, and Wii Sports with my parents. I'd like to see a sequel. Incorporating all these extras into one disk for $59.99 instead of adding extra costs onto the consumer through periodic DLC. Don't get me wrong, I love LBP, but how long will people continue to buy DLC? I think a proper sequel would be a great idea down the road. I'm not bothered by the nerd part, it's more of the rage part. It seems like such a strong word for some pretty minor anger issues. I've always referred to myself as a nerd and now I'm 29.
I don't think it's a system seller. Unfortunately, this is the sort of title which may not meet sales expectations. I hope it sells well because it seems like a good idea, but outside of N4G I haven't heard anyone discuss this game at all!

Well, I bought it for PS3. I only have a Duo Core :( Looks like I'll never be able to play any games on my PC again unless I upgrade! My gfx card is only an 8800GT. :( My PC is pathetic by today's standards but it does everything I need it to.
I don't want it. I don't have enough time in the day to play all these games coming out, let alone sit down for two hours to watch a movie. When I do watch a movie, I just rent one from Blockbuster. I don't watch enough to get Netflix or something. Rent one, get one Reward Zone special is good enough for me.
